JIM RYAN MEMORIAL FLUKE TOURNAMENT RULES AND REGULATIONS

1.     The Jim Ryan Memorial Tournament will be conducted by the Staten Island Tuna Club beginning at 7 a.m. Saturday, August 9, 2008 and ending Saturday, August 9, 2008 at 5pm.

2.     The captain’s meeting will be held Friday August 8, 2008 at 6pm.

3.     Entry fee will be $25 per angler.

4.     Prize money will be distributed based on 50 entries. Prizes are as follows: 1st Place - $500 or 50% of prize money, 2nd Place - $300 or 30% of prize money and 3rd Place - $200 or 20% of prize money.

5.     In the event no fish are caught, the prize money will be raffled off in three equal amounts. In the event of only one       eligi­ble weigh-in, it will be awarded the first place prize only. Second and third place prize money will be raffled off in two equal amounts.

6.     In the event of a tie for 1st Place - 1st and 2nd place monies will be combined; for 2nd place - 
2nd and 3rd place monies will be combined; and for 3rd place - 3rd place monies will be split.

7.     Fishing is by rod and reel only. Tackle is unlimited as to test line, leader length, and double line.

8.     Each angler must supply his own bait with no restrictions.

9.     There are no boundaries

  New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Rules, Regulations and Laws apply.

10.     All anglers fishing in this tournament will do so at their own risk.

11.     Tournament weigh-in stations will be Biggies B & T – 65 Page Ave , Captains Marina – 202 Mansion Ave , Michael’s B & T

- 187 Mansion Ave, Great Kills B & T – 4044 Hylan Blvd, Bob’s Marine Mart – 491 Seguine Ave. 

   A fish  can only be weighed in once.

12.   Prizes will be distributed by check at the August 9, 2008 Awards Ceremony immediately following contest at Biggies

      Bait & Tackle.  You must obtain a Certified Weigh in Receipt (as proof of catch) to claim any prize.

13. Small craft warning at beginning of tournament automatically cancels tournament. All other decisions are at the  discretion of the Tournament Committee

14. VHF channel 72 will be the official tournament communication channel.

It’s individual officers and directors, the members of the tournament committee arid other committees and each of them, of and from any and all liability of any nature Whatsoever arising out of, because of or during participation in this tournament.  I, and all those on my boat, agree to abide by the decisions of the rules committee, judges and tournament committee.
