THE
GOOD MEN’S FLUKE TOURNAMENT RULES AND REGULATIONS
HONORING VINNY SASEK AND JIM RYAN
1.
The Good Men’s Fluke Tournament will be conducted by the
Staten Island Tuna Club beginning at 7:00 a.m. Saturday, July 24, 2010 and
ending Saturday, July 24 2010 at 4:00 p.m., Rain date Sunday, July 25, 2010
2.
The Captains meeting will be held Friday, July 23, 2010 at
6:00 pm.
3.
Entry fee will be $25 per angler.
Each person on board a boat is required to
enter and pay the full entry fee.
4.
Prize money, less expenses, will be distributed based on
50 entries. Prizes are as follows:
1st Place
- $500 or 50% of prize money,
2nd Place
- $300 or 30%
of prize money and
3rd Place
- $200 or 20% of prize money.
5.
In the event no fish are caught or tournament is
cancelled due to weather on both days, the prize money will be raffled off in
three equal amounts. In the event of
only one eligible weigh in, it will be awarded the first prize only.
Second and third place prize money will be raffled off in two equal
amounts.
6.
In the event of a tie for 1st Place - 1st and 2nd place
monies will be combined; for 2nd place - 2nd and 3rd place monies will be
combined; and for 3rd place - 3rd place monies will be split.
7.
Fishing is by rod and reel only. Tackle is unlimited as
to test line, leader length, and double line.
8.
Each angler must supply his own bait with no restrictions.
9.
There are no boundaries.
10.
This tournament will
abide by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Rules,
Regulations and Laws.
11.
All anglers fishing in this tournament will do so at
their own risk.
12.
Tournament weigh in stations will be Michael's
Bait & Tackle

A fish can
only be weighed in once.
13.
Prizes will be distributed by check on July 24, 2010
immediately following contest upon confirmation of weights at Michael’s Bait
& Tackle. You must obtain a Certified Weigh-In
Receipt (as proof of catch) to claim any prize.
14.
Small craft warning at beginning of
tournament automatically cancels tournament. All other decisions are at the
discretion of the Tournament Committee.
15.
VHF channel 72 will be the official
tournament communication channel.
